Q. What kind of paperwork will I need to purchase a home in Lanzarote?
A. If you are relocating from the UK, you will need your P60, and your last 3 payslips as proof of your income.

Q. But what if I am self employed?
A. You will need proof that you have been paying tax. Don’t worry. We can talk you through the process. It’s relatively simple.

Q. How do I get the utilities changed over to my name?
A. We will help you with all of this. Any hitches with it will be raised quite early. Electricity, water, phone line. We will guide you through it.

Q. Can you organise accommodation for whilst I am over, viewing properties?
A. Yes of course. We can put you in touch with hotels, apartments and villas for the duration of your stay. We can even organise a transfer from the airport for you.

Q. I have children, and am concerned about how to get them into the local schools. Can you help?
A. Again yes, absolutely. We can put you in touch with the school of your choice, and can organise a translator should you need one.

Q. Ah yes… my Spanish isn’t as good as it could be. How do I cope?
A. We don’t provide Spanish lessons, but we can recommend people who do. We can also recommend an excellent translator for anything you may need.



Common questions about business purchases

Q. What kind of business can I buy?
A. The most common would be a lease for either a bar, restaurant or shop. We can find you exactly what you need. Most leases run for a minimum of 5 years, with a rolling lese after that. We would ensure this was the case before you signed any documentation.

Q. What about council plans for the area where I would like to be?
A. We will have already researched this for you before offering a venue for your consideration. But this would also be double-checked by a Solicitor before you bought the business, as part of your survey. We insist that all of our clients use a solicitor to protect them in the future.

Q. What about suppliers? Can you help?
A. Yes, because of the contacts we have available… we can recommend Suppliers, negotiate you a good deal, and help you find exactly what’s right for you.

Q. What about the competition? How well do you know the area in which we may be looking.
